The winery
The Vegamar philosophy is to offer visitors a moment to remember while enjoying the pleasures of good wine.
VEGAMAR BODEGAS is a family-run winery founded in 1999, located in Calles in the province of Valencia, 65km from the sea and at over 600m altitude. This special geographical situation allows us to produce wines that convey, through their aromas and flavours, the very essence of the local mountains and the Mediterranean character of the Alto Turia.
Our vineyards are found within the most natural of environments, surrounded by the Tuéjar and Turia rivers. This spectacularly beautiful setting, ideal for vine-growing and fruit production, offers a microclimate that is unique in this mountain area, in which no other vineyards than our own are planted.
For each little sip to be enjoyable we know that the taste must be authentic. This is why we harvest only when nature dictates that we should. In this way, we are able to explore genuine new flavours which we are eager to share with friends, confident that the wines will earn their approval.
Tour with tasting
Enjoy the experience of a tour in the heart of nature at Bodegas Vegamar
Enter into the heart of the Alto Turia. We’ll take you to our most emblematic vineyard, La Muela, located at 600 metres altitude, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside made up of vineyards and olive groves.
Together, we’ll then make our way to the winery where you’ll get to know the more familiar side of Vegamar, its house and our most prized possession –the barrel cellar. Our winemakers will tell you all about the winemaking process at our winery.
The tour reaches its climax with a tasting of our wines, during which you will learn how to identify their tasting characteristics and distinguish their special personality. This will be accompanied by a tasting of our gourmet products, which pair perfectly with the wines.
OPTION A:
Tour of the vineyard + winery, barrel cellar and tasting of 3 wines paired with gourmet cheeses. Payment in advance of 20€/person (refundable*)
OPTION B:
Tour of the vineyard + winery, barrel cellar and tasting of 3 wines paired with Iberico charcuterie and cheeses. Payment in advance of 25€/person (20€ refundable*)
*On the completion of the tour, the price of the tour option will be exchangeable for Vegamar wine in our wine shop.Open every Saturday (by appointment)
